Stopped for full English 6.50 , 2 bacon, 2 sausage, egg, beans AND tomatoes AND 2 rounds toast. ( choice of white or brown). Well cooked food, staff really freindly and bought my order to table. Only gave 4 stars for food as bacon was tad too overdone for me. But still cleared the plate

Fantastic Cafe! Used this twice on the Chester 10k race day, just the best staff! Highlight of my day, along with the race of course. The guy making the coffee was a superstar. Thanks, Mr Pegg (lookalike)

Located on the top of the large carpark where motorhomes are permitted to stay overnight. So if you have a motorhome, it is a great place to start your day if you are too lazy to cook for yourself :) Extremely friendly and welcoming staff, tasty food, good menu, very reasonable prices and on the top of everything, dogs are welcomed too. Thank you!

People should be eating here not the ponsy rip off places in the centre of Chester. Great food, friendly atmosphere and proper people working there, not up themselves posers you get in city centre Chester.

Very nice cafe, tasty cake and a pleasant atmosphere just a short walk from the walls and the river.

What a gem. We've not been in here before and wasn't expecting too much from a council run car park cafe. It's a revelation. Staff were friendly and helpful, very modern and clean surroundings, excellent changing places toilets ( essential for many with significant disabilities), very good food at - it has to be said - cheap prices ( choice of three large portions soups with a roll, 3:75 at 30th March 2025). This cafe is right up there with the best in Chester. Very handy if you're walking the city walls, as we were.

Was staying in the car park in my camper because my dog is in doggy hospital. Full English Breakfast is really good value. 6.50 for 2 sausage, 3 bacon, egg, beans, tomato and 2 slices of toast. Can’t argue with that. Not sampled them but I’ve heard the cakes are good too. Staff are nice & friendly. Make sure you give it a visit.

A Heroine in the Storm: Pauline at Little Roodee Cafe This morning, during the fury of Storm Bert, I found myself in a situation that was not only frustrating but downright unsafe. Struggling with a wireless payment system that refused to work, I was stuck trying to pay for parking in the pouring rain. To my dismay, three men walked by without offering a hand. Enter Pauline. At 6:30 AM, this remarkable woman not only noticed my predicament but acted on it. Without hesitation, she paid my 15 parking fee, saying no woman should ever be left in an unsafe place. Pauline's kindness didn’t stop there. She offered me practical advice on how to avoid paying to re-enter the car park should I need to return later. But that’s not all. Pauline isn’t just a beacon of humanity—she also happens to make the best lemon cake I’ve had in years. As a food journalist, I’ve tasted my fair share of desserts, but her lemon cake is in a league of its own: perfectly zesty, moist, and utterly unforgettable. Pauline, you saved me during a distressing moment, and your kindness deserves recognition. If you’re ever near Little Roodee Cafe, stop in for a coffee, indulge in her delicious baked goods, and take a moment to meet this extraordinary woman. She’s proof that a simple act of kindness can turn a stormy morning into something truly heartwarming.
